Beulah Marie Haring, 92, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of West Burlington and Clinton died at 3:11 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Born January 11, 1917 in Clinton County, she was the daughter of Herluf and Anna Marie Bundesen Madsen. On June 5, 1937 she married Leland F. Haring in Preston. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1975.
Mrs. Haring was a graduate of Sabula High School. She retired after 20 years from the Post Office at Onslow. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, RSVP, Steamboat Senior Citizens and Golden Oldies.
Survivors include her son, Leland (Kay) Haring of Cedar Rapids, grandson, Thomas (Cynthia) Haring of Cedar Rapids, granddaughter, Elizabeth (Rod) Gardiner of Stuart, Florida; three great grandsons, Andrew and Christopher Haring of Cedar Rapids and Michael Gardiner of Stuart, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Eileen Haring; parents; and two brothers, Clyde Madsen and Gene Madsen.
The funeral service for Mrs. Haring will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10th, in Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Gloria Friedrich will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
The committal service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11th, in Miles Cemetery, Miles, Iowa.
