"I want to say to the family of Marty that I know that your loss is great. Marty was a wonderful man who was thought highly of by many. He did such nice things for me. I am 75 and he was "mechanic." We talked about so many things but I would say that he talked about his family the most, especially his mother. He loved her dearly. God bless you Marty, and your family. I will see you someday. Watch over us all. You are our Angel above."

"To the Griffin family; our thoughts and prayers are with you. Marty was loved by so many. He was very kind to us and our Mom and sister, Karissa, and to our Grandmother, Darlene Conway. Marty knew we were going to Afghanistan soon and he was proud, as we are sure that he was proud of his son Adam for his deployment. We were blessed to have shared in his life."

"First, to the family, I know your loss is tremendous. I will pray for you all. The memories are many, some I keep to myself and those who knew Marty know what I mean. Of course the favorite memory is going to Tipton and spending a day with Jimmy, Debbie,JJ,Robbie, and the little children. Wow, that was much too fun. Marty I will love you always and we were trying day to day to light our own candle to unite us. I love you so much and know that now you are in heaven watching over us all. You lived each day to the fullest and never wasted a minute. You were a friend to many and loved by many. But the love we shared was different and I am thankful for what time we did get because just like you said the last time we talked,"We are better people because we love each other." You are gone and I really know what to do or where to turn for comfort, but your love will see me through this. God Bless you and your family. I will miss you Marty and love you forever."
