"Dear John and Val ~ I just happened to come across this while looking at the Journal online. I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Dave lost his father in early January so we know exactly what you are going through. Keep the memories alive and honor her with laughter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Dave, Leanne, Sean & Shelby Leeper "
"Your memorial service was beautiful, Marcie. We laughed --- we cried. We felt your presence. Rest in peace."
"Dear Lori, Krissy, and John, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom seemed like such a strong, independent woman for her times. I have learned about her leaving home, going to school, and making a life/home for your family...from my mom. I wish I had known her better. I have a beautiful cross-stitch piece that she gave me for my wedding. It is something I treasure. My family will pray for your strength as you cope through this difficult time. "

"Correction on the year of the family photo...it was actually 2004 not 2007. Sorry about that."
"I'm Marcie's baby sister. She was a rock in my life so many times, helping me through some tough spots. I looked at the picture that Shirley uploaded, and I cried. I see how my big sister has both of her hands wrapped around my shoulders. She was a special special lady. I've missed so many things from her for such a long time now. But she was still "there," and I could still call her to tell her that I loved her. And I can still hear her voice saying, "I love you too, little sister." I'll miss that voice, that laugh, and that strength that radiated from her. Rest in peace, big sister! Say hello to Mom and Dad for me!"
"Aunt Marcie was a wonderful lady, she was also my God Mother. I know she will be missed by everyone. Prayers and good thoughts your way. Shirley Palmer"
"Lori, Krissy & John.....you are all in my prayers."
"John & Family: Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. Doesn't seem like that long ago we were backyard neighbors climbing in that old tree in back. Know we are thinking of you all at this difficult time and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers."
"Thank you Dick and Marcie for your whole family. I have been proud to be an in-law of your family for the past 24 years. I'm especially grateful for your son John I love dearly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will miss you dearly. I loved you lots. Love, Val Dodge Your daughter in law."
