Dear Jack and Family, I hadnt seen Shirley since 2002. I really liked her I thought she was a funny lady. I wished I had gotten to know her more but I do know that she was a caring lady in her own way. I know that she would try to help out anyway she could. I was married to one of her step grandsons and I know Shirley really reached out to us. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Blessings to you all -Tina

Dear Jack and Family, It's really hard to believe Aunt Shirley has passed away. I have so many good memories of your Mother, My Aunt Shirley. She taught me how to color and stay inside the lines. She great love for her sons and defended them when someone said something wrong. She protected you when you were little. We had gone to see The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney full length animation) and one scene was really scary especially for you since you were so young. I remember she covered your eyes with her hand and saying, "He'll be up all night being afraid and I don't want him scared." She worked very hard and had good work ethics. She believed in it. If I did something wrong when I was a kid she'd set me down and explain why it was wrong and try not to do it again. She had a good heart. She would remember my birthday and give me a gift. I still have a sewing basket that I received from her at Christmas one year. She even helped me pick out a maid-of-honor dress for my sister's wedding. I sincerely hop this gives you some comefort to see your mother through someone elses eyes. Also, if you need pictures of your Mother try and contact Aunt Verna; I'm sure she can help you.
