Velma Marie Wilmer
December 15, 1919 - February 3, 2010

Velma Marie Wilmer, 90, of Webster City, formerly of Jewell, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Story County Medical Senior Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday February 8, 2009 at Fosters Chapel, with Rev. Tony Ede officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m on Monday until service time. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Velma M. Claude, daughter of Harry and Mabel (Mourlam) Claude, was born December 15, 1919 on a farm near Woolstock.
On January 22, 1943, she was united in marriage to Edward John Wilmer and the couple farmed south of Duncombe and later south of Dayton. In 1975, they moved to Jewell. Mr. Wilmer passed away in 1982. In September 2009, she moved to Windsor Manor in Webster City.
She is survived by grandsons and spouses, Brain (Catherine) Rude of Ames and Brad (Brenda) Rude of Gilbert, AZ;
4 great-great grandchildren, Brandan, Jasmine, Abigail and Jonathan; a great-great granddaughter, Taylor; sisters, Betty Jensen of Kamrar; Lorraine Hendricks of Jewell; Carolyn Briggs of Brighton, CO and Donna Bell Jacobson of Sauk Center, MN.
She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Marie; parents; sisters, Viola, Arlene and brother, Delbert.
