Spencer Waldeier, 11, of Rockford, Illinois, died Monday,
February 8, 2010 at the Swedish - American Hospital at
Rockford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30
p.m. Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with
Rev. Scott Boone presiding. Burial will be in the Calvary
Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and
Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and
at the church after 10:00 a.m. Friday until the Mass. A
scripture service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Foster's.
Spencer Owen Waldeier, son of Douglas and Carrie Smith
Waldeier, was born January 12, 1999 at Overland Park, Kansas.
He attended Nashold Elementary School at Rockford.
Spencer is survived by his parents; sister, Tonya; brother,
Trevor; grandparents, Michael and Linda Smith of Norwalk;
Madeline and Stanley Waldeier of Norwalk; great-grandfather,
Bill Smith of Eagle Grove; aunts, Jessica Smith of Des Moines;
Annettte McCarthy of Adel; uncle, Ed Waldeier of Marysville,
MO.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Clara
Smith.
He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church at Rockford.
He enjoyed playing Poke`mon, turtles and his religion class.
