"I met Anita first while she was in the same apartment bldg. as I, and the men was still overseas. We met in May, 1953 and between Anita and me, we made the wedding plans. Jess went home for 3 weeks and when he came back, the ship went out to sea fora week and back and the happy day was on July 4th. We were so lucky to have Dud and Anita to be in our wedding. They were such a loving couple and fun people to have. We'll miss both of you. You have such a beautiful family too. "
