Donna McBurney
March 11, 1936 - February 26, 2010

Donna Uker McBurney, 73, of Kansas City, Kansas, a former
Webster City resident, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at the
Providence Medical Center at Kansas City. Memorial services
will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Asbury United Methodist
Church, with Rev. Laird R. Keever officiating. Burial will be in
the Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements were made with the
Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Donna Joy Uker, daughter of Gilbert and Beulah Brockert Uker,
was born March 11, 1936 at Sioux City, Iowa. She received her
education in the Webster City school system. She also attended
Iowa State and the Iowa state Teachers College On July 30, 1960,
she married Ronald John McBurney at the Asbury United Methodist
Church. The couple resided at Webster City. Donna was a clerk
at the Uker Sewing Center and a homemaker. Mr. McBurney died
March 14, 1988. Donna continued to reside in Webster City until
she moved to the Stratford Care Center for 2 years, then to Kansas
City in July of 2009.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John and Liz
McBurney of Kansas City, KS; daughter, Patricia McBurney of
Webster City; step-daughter and husband, Helen and Larry Golden
of Goldfield; grandchildren, Regina and Caleb Salt; Ronnie
McBurney, Cheyenne Lester, Cayley Embrey; step-grandchildren,
Kellie Smith (Jason), Tim Carpenter (Amanda) and Amy Wiezorek
(Scott); 8 step-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Richard and Virginia McBurney of East Moline, IL; Bob and Betty
McBurney of Thompson, MO; Arlene Prevas of Cedar Rapids;
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her
parents and brother-in-law, Russell McBurney.
Donna was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church,
Priscilla Circle, North Central Chapter-Iowa Council United Blind,
Lionels, former Moose Family Center member and a former
member of the Business and Professional Women.
