"Grandpa---What can I say...I miss you everyday but I know you are looking down on all of us. I know that you are up in heaven playing cards and probably even drinking your favorite scotch..hehe! Either way...you're not in pain anymore and you are in a better place. You can even dance with grandma and see her beautiful smile now. Jaiden was riding the bike you gave her for christmas the other day but I know you already knew that as you looked down upon us that evening probably with a smile as you always asked about her. She loves it! You're an amazing guy and will never be forgotten. I love you Grandpa! "
"We miss you, Dad! "
"Rest In Peace Grandpa. You will be missed. I love you! We will all see you again someday. "
"Hello, All, I first met Mr. Cornick when I was a 4 or 5 year old, as I often accompanied my father, Bob Schroeder, to the Wever Elevator. I loved Mr. Cornick's first name, but I would never have called him Edson. He and his business partner/brother, Dale, treated me like a princess and they always dressed so professionally. The elevator smelled like fresh soybeans and corn and I LOVE that smell, to this day. They let me play with paper and pencils there so Dad could finish his business. You never know when you will make a memory, and Edson Cornick made lots of good ones for me. All the best to you and yours."
"When we lived in Burlington we knew Edson and Millie for many years and we played bridge with them and had dinner in their home on Madison. They were great friends. We extend our sympathy to the family. He had a long good life."
"Our dear friend, mentor and all around Gentlemen Mr. Edson Cornick -- you are now our newest Angel in Heaven. There was always a smile on your face and tons of great advice. You loved playing cards and you loved to tease me. You were a most treasured neighbor in Florida and we had some great golf games. We had some very special times at your home in Burlington and at our lake home in Minnesota. We thank God that He had given us YOU as our friend. What a Blessing! We await the day that we will see you in Heaven. Make a place for us! God Bless & Love, Joann & Jerry Fischer Clear Lake, Minnesota and Winter Haven, Florida"
"Kim, I am very sorry to hear about your dad. What a great guy. Always positive and pleasure to be around. I enjoyed spending time with him at the golf club and discussing business. We are living in the Quad Cities and will be out of town for the funeral but wanted to send you our condolences. "
"What a wonderful, caring, fun-loving gentlemen. I remember first meeting Edson 19 yrs. ago when I started working at Farmers Savings Bank. Edson was the Chairman of the Board. He started picking on me immediately and I returned the favor back to him. He always told me to be GOOD and stay out of trouble!!! Imagine that! Just look at that ornery grin on his face that tells it all. What a Piece of Work!!! He lived a good long life and is resting in a better place. With deepest sympathy. Jan Fraise"
