URBANDALE – Cindy M. Short, 35, of Urbandale, formerly of Garner died Wednesday (March 5, 2008) at her home.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 P.M., Saturday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., in Garner. Inurnment will be at a later date at Ellington Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Cynthia Marie Short, the adopted daughter of William G. and Rose Marie (Luedtke) Short, was born March 20, 1972 at Seoul, Korea. She graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1990. Cindy continued her education at DMACC in Des Moines where she obtained her advanced degree in nursing. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking her dog “Murph Dog” and entertaining company.

She is survived by her parents, William and Dorothy Short of Garner; brothers and sisters, Ron (Christine) Short of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Steve Short of China, Mark Short of Brooklyn, NY, Bill (Lori) Short of Garner, Jeff (Lisa) Short of Garner, Dan (Sherry) Short of North Branch, MN, Chris (Bobbie) Short of Mankato, MN, Joe (Pat) Short of Wichita, KS, Doug (Sonnie) Robbins of Sioux City, Rosie Bodin of Minneapolis, MN, Sherri (Jim) Erkel of Central City and Kandis (Ed) Kotz of Swaledale; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Matt Broer, of Des Moines.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Rose, November 3, 1976.
