Steve Martinson wrote on Nov 28, 2008:

"Dear Edith and family, I was saddened to hear from my father of the passing of Francis. Ten years of my life were spent riding my bicycle up to your door in Brewster to deliver the Globe to your home and Francis, though usually working, always treated me with respect beyond my years. He was a good man, honest and hard working. I was fortunate to know him and feel an emptiness with his passing. My heartfelt sympathies are extended to you all."
