Agnes "Nana" Alspach

STOUGHTON
Agnes "Nana" N. Alspach, age 83 passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Nazareth House, Stoughton. She was born in Union City, TN on January 18, 1929 the daughter of the late Homer and Emma (Parten) Runions. On October 18, 1947, Agnes was united in marriage to Wilburn "Windy" Crews in Jackson, Mississippi. He died on March 9, 1973. She later married Frederick Alspach on June 23, 1976 in Hammond, IN. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1998. She lived in various places including Hammond, Highland, IN, Obion, TN and since 1998 has lived in Stoughton. Agnes farmed and eventually worked as a custodian for the Hammond School District in Hammond, IN. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Stoughton Weekenders. Most of all, Nana enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Nana is survived by her daughter, Cheri (Jim) Towle of Stoughton; granddaughter, Wendy (Fiore) Taylor of Evansville; grandson, James Towle, Jr. of Stoughton; great-granddaughters, Paige Nicole Taylor, McKenna Lynn and Ashlyn Rayne Towle; and great-grandson, Christopher Taylor. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, W.J. Crews, 2nd husband, Fred Alspach; 3 sisters, Notie Jones, Edith Thompson, Dorothy Albright; and 2 brothers, Larymore and Frazier Runion.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect Ave, Stoughton. Family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
