Marilyn A. Cota WEST BRANCH, Iowa -- Marilyn A. Cota, 64, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in West Branch surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Branch. Following the visitation, cremation will take place with burial of her cremains at a later date in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Marilyn was born in Iowa City on Sept 9, 1948, to John W. and Marilyn Ditmars Leonard. She was a 1966 West Liberty High School graduate. She married Joaquin "Jack" Cota in 1978. She was "mom" and "grandma" to a community. Survivors include her husband, Joaquin Cota; her children, Michael Beaver and wife, Jana, and Michele Beaver, all of West Branch, Jeremy Beaver and wife, Ethel, and Thomas Beaver, both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Cassie Beaver, Jonathan Fountain and wife, Martha, Chantry Burkholder and T. J.
