JoAnn Holder, 76, of Fort Dodge passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Private family funeral services will be at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. JoAnn is survived by her husband, John; children, Julie; Jay; David, and Joel all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Zachary; Jayson; Tom, and Luke; several great-grandchildren; she also leaves behind her beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Frank and Emma Benson. JoAnn was born December 17, 1936 in Fort Dodge to John and Ruth (Benson) Frank. She attended school in Fort Dodge, graduating in May of 1955. She then attended Tobin Business School. She worked for several businesses as a bookkeeper including: Gemble Robinson, Marigold, G & E, and Heartland. She was united in marriage to John Holder on September 5, 1959. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. As a green thumb worker she worked at child support and North Central Home Care. JoAnn was a P.T.A. President and room mother for her four children. rs; feeding the birds and little creatures. JoAnn truly missed her beloved dogs, Teddy and Benny. She enjoyed watching movies, reading, and watching T.V. JoAnn collected children's books and cherished Teddys. She also liked classical music, Andre Bocelli, and Josh Groban. JoAnn loved warm seasons, but not the summer humidity.
