Mary Altizer Urfer

Madison- Mary Altizer Urfer went to be with God on August 28, 2013, in Neillsville, Wisconsin with her daughter Vivian by her side. Mary was born in Madison, WI along with her 11 siblings, to Mary (Bartholmew) and Frank Denruiter. Mary worked at Oscar Mayer for 33 years before retiring in 1978. She spent most of her retired life driving back and forth from Rockford to Madison, delivering meat. Mary is survived by her daughter, Vivian Meland; her sons, Robert (Georgia) Altizer and George (Carol) Altizer; daughter-in-law, Mary Altizer and her son-in-law, Norman Buchert. Mary is further survived by a brother, Henry Denruiter of Chester, South Carolina. Mary has over 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and over 15 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Altizer, her two children, Patricia and Dennis; two grandchildren, Nevin and Janette "Angel"; great-granddaughter Kelsey; 10 siblings and a son-in-law, Edward Meland.
