port and construct Lovilia community building, served many offices in the Life Underwriters Association, and was involved in the Albia Victorian Stroll and the Albia Chamber of Commerce. John wanted to be part of improving the longevity of the Albia parks by being a member of the Albia Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship. John was devoted to his family and provided a life time of memories for all of us to enjoy. John continually found joy in hunting, fishing, observing nature, gardening and farming. His legacy will be continued in the lessons he taught and the bliss his family finds during their adventures on the family acreage. John is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-two years, Judi Sickler Johnson, three children, seven grandchild, two great grandchildren and a third great grandchild coming this August. His family includes: first Daughter: Tammy (Mark) McMains of Oskaloosa and their children: John W. (Kristen), and their son, Willy McMains of Albia- as well as Markie (Mark) Roake of Oskaloosa. Second Daughter: Terri (Curtis) Krupp and their children: Victoria, Alexander and Phoebe of Rockwall, Texas- as well as Ella (Rob) and their son, Rion Upton of Denver, Colorado. Son: Anthony Johnson and his son Leo of Polk City. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Johnson of Hamilton and his children: Stacy of Albia, as well as Lynn (Pat) Silvers and their children of Hamilton and John's special nieces and nephews: Mike (Delores) Johnson of Monroe, and Julie (Dean) Bettis of Albia. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest D. and Isabelle Herman Johnson. Brothers: Lowell, William, Dallas. Sister: Doris. and his first best friend: Bob Dog. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia with Rev. Raymond Doser and Rev. Neil Montz Officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Visitation will be on Friday, opening to the public at 1:00 pm and family will be present from 5-8 pm at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12:00-2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia.
