She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1941. Rita was united in marriage to Clarence Anthony Wehner at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Holbrook. They lived and farmed near Parnell. Rita has worked for Holden's, The Me Too Store, Patron's Mutual Insurance for 30 years and Peterson Drug Store for 20 years retiring in 2009. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and going fishing. Rita was a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Holbrook and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parnell. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Rita died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo at the age of 91 years. Marengo and Todd (Mary Ann) Wehner of Williamsburg; six great grandchildren: Dylan, Tristan, Laylah, Lorelai, Layahna, and Lola. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers: Clement, Richard and William Kelly; three sisters: Marion McNamara, Irene and Mary Kelly. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Fr. Joseph Roost will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Holbrook. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremations Service in Williamsburg. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 pm Friday.
