r he served the following congregations: First Lutheran, Our Savior and St. Petri, Stephen/Argyle, MN; Salem, Andrew, IA; Grace Lutheran, Eau Claire, WI; Immanuel Lutheran, Independence, IA: St. Mark's Lutheran, Olathe, KS; Our Savior's Lutheran, Cedar Rapids, IA. During these years he also served various interim ministries in Iowa and Kansas. In addition, Jim was a member of the Wartburg Seminary faculty for several years as Professor of Contextual Education and Director of Internship. He was also a licensed administrator for the Evangelical Good Samaritan Society and served multi-level adult care facilities in Hutchinson, KS and Denton, TX. Since retiring in 2007, he continued to serve five different congregations in an interim capacity.
Jim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcia (Heggen) Adix; five children, David (Renee Parenteau) Adix, Anne (John) Fabie, Mike Adix, Jackie Wierimaa, and Nicole (Andy) McRoberts; seven grandchildren, Sara (Mike) Cassidy, Michael and Noah Fabie, Matthew and Andrew Adix, and Amelia and Josephine McRoberts; his brother, Richard (Kathy) Adix; and his former wife, Sue Alt.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two infant grandchildren.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello, Iowa.
