High Falls - Helen K. Curcio, 90, of High Falls died Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Golden Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston. She was born with a twin sister Christmas morning December 25, 1927 in Brooklyn a daughter of the late Edward S. and Mary Elizabeth O'Hare Lincoln. The birth of twin girls on Christmas morning was exciting news and even made the local newspapers at the time. Helen and her late husband Joseph J. Curcio who died May 31, 1987 became permanent residents of High Falls in 1971. They had their summer home there since 1957. Helen enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She had served as past president of the Alligerville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Election Inspector for the Town of Rochester District 4, a member of the Rosendale Senior Citizens, and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8959 in Kerhonkson. Helen is survived by a daughter Susan Curcio of High Falls, 2 sons, Robert Curcio of High Falls and Richard Curcio of Lake Katrine, 4 grandchildren, Christine, Angela, Cooper and Campbell, and a great grandson Gabriel. O'Connor, Leo Lincoln, Thomas Lincoln, Mary Hollern and her twin Joan DiBattista. Visitation for family and friends will be 1 to 3 PM Sunday at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 PM. Rev. Edmund Burke, pastor of St. Peter's Church will officiate. Interment will take place in the spring at Hurley Cemetery.
