Delores I. Boley, age 75 of Shenandoah passed away on Wednesday; October 29, 2008 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Delores was born on September 26, 1933 in Newton, IA; the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Grinstead) Dooley. She attended grade school in Floris, Iowa and when she was 12 year old the family moved to Oregon where she continued her education at Corbett Elementary and Corbett High School in Corbett, Oregon. In July of 1966 Delores was united in marriage to David Boley. The couple made their home in Portland, Oregon before moving back to Southeast Iowa. Delores was a dedicated housewife and a loving mother. She worked for a short time at McGills Nursery in Oregon and also at the Donut Stop in Shenandoah. She as a member of the First Baptist Church in Shenandoah and also was an assistant leader for the Girl Scouts Troop #208 for some 10 years. Other interests of Delores' included sewing and making doll clothes, taking family pictures and singing. She is She is survived by her daughter Vickie Ware of New Market, son Daniel Cunningham of Council Bluffs, IA, daughter-in-law Jennifer Cunningham of Shenandoah, IA, grandchildren; Heidi Woods of Shenandoah, Donna Stoddard and husband Don, Tammy McCoy and husband Chris, William Hubbell and wife Dawn, Jamie Hubbell and Tyrel Cunningham; great-grandchildren Cori Woods, Aurora Irvine, Zachary Stodard, Madilyn Cunningham, Molly Cunningham, William M. Hubbell, Angelica Hubbell, Chautel Carson and Cursty Carson; other relatives and many friends. Memorial Services were held on Monday; November 3rd, 2008 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Fuller officiating. Her great- granddaughter Cori Wood sang "Amazing Grace", while "In The Garden" and "Little Brown Church in The Wildwood" were also played. Rhonda Byers and Jennifer Cunningham attended to the memorial register. A luncheon followed at the First Baptist Church.
