Robert Somers

Somers, Robert W. "Bob" At age 85, passed away peacefully on June 15th. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol; his children Janet and Bruce Somers; brother, David Somers; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica and Stephanie Somers in Australia; and his adopted family, Judy, Michael and Stephen Stahl. A navigator in the Air Corp during WWII, Bob was a graduate of USC School of Pharmacy and practiced in L.A. County for 60 years. A life member of Temple Beth Hillel, he also served as President of San Fernando Valley Pharmacy Association. Among his many volunteer activities he especially enjoyed "Chicken Soup," The Food Pantry, and the Los Angeles Drug Free Clinic. He was a kind, generous and compassionate man and will be greatly missed by all. Donations may be made to the Food Pantry c/o Temple Beth Hillel.
