GOLDSTEIN, DR. FREDOur beloved uncle Fred, 103, passed away peacefully at his home on May 17. Raised by his parents, Abe and Molly, Fred grew up in Chicago with his older brother Paul and his younger sister Lily. He became a skilled podiatrist, and served as a medic in WWII. Fred moved to Los Angeles in 1947, where he met and married his dear Estelle. They spent 56 years together until her passing in 2005. Fred was a loving, gentle man, with sparkling blue eyes and ever-present smile. He was passionate about Estelle, food, dancing and rock-and-roll music. An avid walker, he enjoyed amazing health and he truly loved his life. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Cheryl and Ted Miller, Sonny and Jerry Hollander and Stefanie Weiner, and their families. We are thankful for the love, loyalty, and professional care given to Fred by his devoted caregivers Nedy Antonio, Amy Sablan and Vicky Dare. We will always miss you Uncle Fred, but know that you are dancing with your soul-mate, Aunt Estelle. Rock on, dear man. [more]
