was transferred to Fargo in 1970, retiring in 1981. O.Q. was an active member of the South West Optimist Club in Fargo and a past District Governor of Optimist International. He enjoyed fishing, NDSU Bison football and basketball, and UND hockey, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Johnson of Fargo; sons, Max Johnson and wife, Kathy, and Phil Johnson, all of Fargo; a brother, Roy Johnson and wife, Joyce, of Laurel, Montana; six grandchildren; his favorite buddy, his dog, King; and many, many friends.
