Alice Kathryn McMahan

Sun Prairie - Alice McMahan, age 59, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Alice was born on September 8, 1952 in Denver, CO, the daughter of John and Thelma Borowski. She married Edward McMahan in 1999. Alice worked for many years at Meriter Hospital in the ER Room, home health group and in the physical medicine rehab clinic. She was a member of the Madison Doll Club and was active in it's public relations department and a member of the Outward bound club in Colorado. She enjoyed crafting jewelry and photography. Alice is survived by her husband, Ed of Sun Prairie; her mother, Thelma Borowski of Colorado; 8 children, Jessica Martalock of Sun Prairie, Rachel McMahan of Madison, Robert McMahan of Sun Prairie, Erin Luckeydoo of Sanford, FL, Richard McMahan of Chapin, SC, David McMahan of Miami, FL, Megan McMahan of Virginia Beach, VA and Matthew McMahan of Roanoke, VA; 10 grandchildren; 4 siblings, John Borowski Jr., Bonnie McFarland, Frank Borowski and Kris (Stefan) Magyar, all of Colorado; a special niece, Chelsea Magyar of Colorado; a special friend, Ginny (Herm) Miller of Lodi and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. in death by her father, John Sr. Funeral services will be held at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie WI on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the time of service. Cremation rites will be accorded at a later date. According to Alice's wishes, she asked that no flowers or memorials be sent. Alice requested that you use those funds to spend on your own family in her memory. Alice believed you never knew when God would call you and draw you near to his side and that you should spend that time with your loved ones.
