Lelia M. Harris

Lelia M. (Hale) Harris, 81, of Miami Gardens, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami. She was born on October 8, 1930 in Greenville, Alabama, where she was raised before moving to South Florida. Lelia was the daughter of Julius and Armenter (Moorer) Hale. Survived by three children, Zebbie Hale, Gregory Harris and Annese Robin, her former husband, Sterling Harris, three sisters, Annie and her husband Elijah Jackson, Hattie Thomas and Ida Scott, two brothers, Willie and Isaac Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Costella Harris Malishan. Also leaves 10 grandchildren, Randell, Octavious, Tiffany, Raquel, Lamarkus, Jasmine, Justin, Darryl, Christopher and Miriann, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation on Friday, February 24th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at the Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Garden Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood.
