Kenneth B. Reason BUFFALO PRAIRIE, Illinois -- Kenneth B. Reason, 83, of Buffalo Prairie, Illinois, died on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge 699 A.F. & A.M. Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church or given to the family for a memorial to be established later. Kenneth was born on October 20, 1928, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Florence Whitehall Reason. He graduated from the Reynolds High School. Kenny married Bonnie D. Danner on June 4, 1950 in Illinois City. He owned and operated Reason's General Store and Locker in Buffalo Prairie for 46 years and retired in 1992. uffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. He was a founding member and first chief of the Buffalo Prairie Volunteer Fire Department. Kenny was an over 50-year member of the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge 699 A.F & A.M. and also a member of the Scottish Rite and Coordinate Bodies Valley of Moline. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was happy to see whoever caught the biggest fish. After retirement, he enjoyed 13 years fishing on the lake at Pine River, Minnesota, and more recently loved spending time with his family and friends on the lake at Oak Run. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Reason; children, Steve Reason and wife, Diana, of Buffalo Prairie, Larry Reason and wife, Sue, of Andalusia, Rick Reason of Galesburg, Diane Boruff and husband, Greg, of Reynolds, and Julie Jackson and husband, Kevin, of Aledo; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Tomlin and husband, Dean, of Monticello, Indiana, Rene Merrell of Houston, Texas, and Nancy Mack of Keithsburg; brothers, David Reason and wife, Kathy, of Buffalo Prairie and Chuck Reason, Fort Myers, Florida; and his longtime hunting and fishing buddy, his brother-in-law, Paul Danner of Illinois City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Irma Reason; and brother, Don Reason.
