Online condolences for the family may be left at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com . Teresa was born February 20, 1950 in Chariton, Iowa to Leland and Helen (Elliott) Sims. She graduated from Chariton High School in 1968. Teresa worked in Clinton, Iowa as manager of the computer-programming department for Dunn & Bradstreet. After moving to Des Moines she worked as a computer programmer for several different companies and also worked as an independent programmer. She enjoyed reading, especially reading health books, as she was a health nut. She also enjoyed working outside in her yard. She loved to help people and wanted to make sure they were taking care of themselves. Teresa passed away May 15, 2012 at the age of 61 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines after a short battle with cancer. Preceding her in death was her father, Leland Sims.
