Josephine Edison

Josephine Edison (nee Scalissi) age 80 passed away Monday, May 14, 2012. She was born in Madison on July 20, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Digregory) Scalissi. She attended Central High School. She was a waitress for many years. Josephine is survived by her children Julie, Karen, Vicki, Cathy, Dave, and Terri; 15 grandchildren, especially Kristopher, Chelsea and Alivia; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ben Scalissi; also, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Richard and Susan; siblings, John, Tony, Pete, Joe and Mary. Funeral services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison at 10 am on Saturday, May 19, 2012 with Chaplain Timothy Jones officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family extends a special thank you to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., Dr. Kenneth Loving, and the many staff members at Meriter Hospital for their care and support. [more]
