Patricia "Patti" West

McFarland- Madelyn Patricia "Patti" (Weiss) West, age 75, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. She was born on July 8, 1936. Patti, most recently, resided with her husband Jack in Stoughton. Patti and Jack were members of the community of McFarland for over 30 years. Patti was born in Wheeling, West Virginia the daughter of Charles William Weiss and Sara Madelyn (Ambrose) Weiss. She was united in marriage to Jack Thomas West. Patti was a woman of many talents. Amongst her many roles in her life, Patti was a school teacher at Conrad Elvehjem Elementary School in McFarland, an HR Manager at Prange's Department store in Madison, a long time secretary at McFarland Lutheran Church, and community volunteer in many capacities. Patti was a pillar in the McFarland Lutheran Church and the community of McFarland. She is known for her "glass half full" view and approach to all aspects of her life. Patti was an incredible cook, entertainer and community organizer. She took pleasure in "setting the table", so others could enjoy the fruits of her labor. er who had the deep love and respect of her entire family. Patti was a model child of God, who served Him tirelessly. She was a leader by example, based on her ability to bring people together in a positive way and achieve great things. Her family reveres her as the mother who always put others before herself. Even though she is with her Heavenly Father, her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. Patti is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Linda (Paul) Ruscher; sons, Charles W. (Susie) and John T. (Mary Cuevas-West); grandchildren, Christine Ruscher, Nathanial West, Timothy (Elin) Ruscher, Sara Ruscher and Ashley West; great grandchildren, Josiah and Chloe Ruscher; and cousins, Peggy (Jim) Norman and their sons, Matthew and Michael, and Kim (Rob) Westall. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at McFarland Lutheran Church, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland. Friends may greet the family from noon until the time of services Friday at church.
